Síoċáın Hughes is an artist working with camera, paint, dimensional materials and digital, often exploring themes of site, observer, time and space. They have exhibited internationally at forums including the Musée Carnavalet and the Galerie Lambert in Paris, France, the Kultur Senat Roloff-Momin, the Galerie Am Scheunenviertel and the Amerika Haus Gallery, in Berlin, Germany, the Henry Street Settlement and White Columns in New York City, and several east coast universities. Síoċáın's work is in the collection of the Musée Carnavalet and numerous private collections, and has been published in Paris in 3D From Stereoscopy to Virtual Reality 1850-2000, Musée Carnavalet, and the Wickedness.net eJournal, Perspectives on Human Wickedness, volume 1: no. 4. The recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship, Síoċáın studied with photographer Dieter Appelt at the Universität der Künste Berlin Berlin, Germany. Síoċáın holds an MFA from Hunter College and a BFA from Parsons School of Design, New York. They maintain a studio in Bloomfield, New Jersey, and teach art at East Orange Campus High School, in East Orange, New Jersey.
